it’s not dead
your sparkle inside
although you can’t see now that things will be different
it’s so cold now and dark and just frozen and grim
all is dormant.
please take heart
soon enough things will get better
it’s a law of the universe
and much bigger than you
mark these words
your future is certain and your spirit will soar
it’s been true through the ages that
this too will pass because hope springs eternal.

  1. Such sweet sentiments, but so very hopeful.
“soon enough things will get better
it’s a law of the universe
and much bigger than you”—Wonderful! I should put this on a post-it, Pete!

Thank you! Oh, and looks GREAT now. :) I should put it on a post-it too!

  3. This is beautiful, spiritual, inspirational and wise. I want a post-it, too. Everyone should read this at least once a day. btw, Cat Stevens’s “Morning Has Broken” is playing as I write this, and it’s perfect. Just like your perfect poem! Thank you for writing this, Pete. :D

Thank you so much Melody for your kind words, I’m glad this resonated with you. And thank you for sharing the listening to Cat part, I can just picture it. :)
