- Feel the Power
Fear and despair are burdens we impose on ourselves. Their power is no more than we choose to instill.
As surely as we choose to energize fear and despair, we can choose to surmount them. When we make this latter choice we dismiss the power of fear and despair and tap into the power of courage.
Fear and despair will drain our strength and distract our attention. They are alarms that can warn us of very real dangers. They may heighten our alertness and compel us to fully prepare, and effectively respond but they must not immobilize us.
Fear and despair are neither safe havens nor sources of respite and resolve. Our task is to heed the alert and summon the courage to transcend the challenge and remove the threat. Fear and despair may arouse us, but they must never enthrall us.
Power, progress, achievement and fulfillment all come from facing fears and surmounting despair. By doing what must be done, we gain true confidence and genuinely increase our effectiveness.
Fear and despair are opportunities in the guise of threats. Face fear, vanquish despair and feel the power of courage.
Let us be more than the sum of our fears and greater than the depths of our despair. Let us be as great as our brave hearts and as noble as our finest hopes.

Very nice Larry. So inspiring and true. We really do have to rise above. Well said.

Dani,
Thanks Dani. I wrote this as much to encourage myself in the face of political and personal challenges as for general inspiration, but I thought the sentiments were worth sharing.
The song speaks to me and this theme well in my judgment.
Thanks again,.
Larry.
