Under cover of clouds mystical and eerie

lush green pathways beckon…

From the corner of my eye

I glimpse flashes of spun gold

breezing through the trees like the wind.

I smile…

Your stealthful deftness in navigating

our forest never fails to impress me.

When I reach the clearing

your enigmatic luminescence

again gives me pause…

Have I dreamt you?

This place, our perfect meadow;

where my scarlett waves cascade into your golden fire

and our unbridled fusing ignites a passion for each other

that is our only weakness?

I wake from fantasy to my reality, relieved

to find your angelic little head

nestled softly on the pillow;

strands of wheat sweeping your face

as you slumber sweetly beside me…

Life is good!
