Inside of Us

Jars and jars

Of emotions

Some lay flat

Some on fire

Some we desire

Some are forgotten

Feeding on the bottom

Of Endless oceans

Webs of memories

We so carefully spin

Of Now,

Later

And Then!

Inside of us

Fireflies of June

We Chase

We capture

Alas

They fade too soon!

Tender visions of loving

Of treasures we lost

Of knowing

How and who

We missed the most

Inside of us

Rainbows of never

Hopes went astray

Foot prints

Slowly

Washed away

While stars grow

Dimmer

And dimmer

And dimmer

Cold as lonely

A hint of sulphur

Roses bashful

We stay

One

And only

Simply beautiful, MZ. “Foot prints Slowly Washed away While stars grow Dimmer And dimmer And dimmer” This poem is sweetly sad and one to be savored.
