- Just The Two Of Us
For a moment I am frozen
Where I stand ~
Why can’t I breathe ~
The air’s grown thin ~
I barely can remember
My own name ~
Where did you come from ~
How do I know you ~
There’s something so familiar
In your unfamiliar face ~
You look more than a little dazed ~
I know exactly how you feel ~
My heart is still lodged
Somewhere in my throat ~
And then you smile ~ and
All at once ~
The world fades
Into view again ~
A different world now ~
For you and me ~
Let it begin ~

A Man’s World

Hey Sis!
This is excellent and I love, love the photograph you found as it complements your verse.
When are you going to get serious and publish your book of poetry? More people need to read you.
Love,
Your kid sister

Thank you, Theresa. It’s back-burnered for the moment, but hopefully soon! Love you!

I don’t know about love at first sight, but Matt and I fell in love before we met. (So there.)
Nicely written, I adore that illustration as well!
Thanks, Elisa, but tell me, how could you fall in love Before you met?
