- Still
Still
I just passed that gas station…
You know?… the one where they pumped
my gas for me when I was called away
by the urgency in your voice.
The wind and traffic did little
to drown out the pain and anger;
but what slew me then and today
does still…. were the tears.
Twinkling emeralds should never be
wet with such humiliation….
He was leaving you for her!
And I just couldn’t wrap my head around
how this was all going to work out.
Could I ever be all that you needed?
Well I guess we got it sorted cause
that was nearly eleven years ago,
and today you are my whole world…
Still.

Album Review:Ô Filles de l’Eau by Nolwenn Leroy.

Dani,
This is a true love poem! It is about true love that began in uncertainty and now thrives in profundity.
Thanks for sharing this and I hope there are many more words and many more years beyond eleven.

Larry I am so lucky to have found the love of my life however late.
We celebrate 12 years this year still so in love.
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts. Hugs..
