- Summer Days And Memories
Summer has finally arrived in our little seacoast town
I thought the warm would help me miss you less
Instead it opens more the dreams
Of times and summers past
When we each to the other
Were our only needed guest
Days on the beach with a big jug of wine coolers
And time of no importance meaningless
How you loved the summer
The ocean
And the rapid hoping of the
Tiny Piping Plover
How you would marvel at the flight of seagulls

And even braved the cold New England tides
Swimming as natural as the mermaid you were
Now I image you swimming in warm waters
Gone the wounds on your sides
The cancer that ravaged your body
Is gone
No pain to keep you from dancing
The world and summer were as your lovers
And you were mine
Now all I have is hot summer days
And memories

I made it through college, started at Pace in New York, family seemed to think I needed a business degree. I didn't last long, two double periods of accounting a week and I was off to N.Y. U. To make a long story short ( too late for that) I graduated from UCLA and actually, my biggest kick out of that is just saying, especially here on the east coast UCLA, but I could care less, been in Boston since 1975, though I was coming for a year or so. A very good friend at the time, she said to me "Dan you'll never leave Boston" so dear Florida “Sun Spot Baby" you're down there, been in and out of radio, TV, acting and that's me in a nut shell.

I think that is my favorite part. I love the contentedness you found in one another. It is truly beautiful and inspirational. I am sorry you have to stay the course now without her.
