- The Muse is Gone, but the Music Goes On
This is written in honor of one we loved and lost.
You probably know who;
In the midst of all that was false,
She was forever true.
Always sing your own song!
Always smile your own sweet smile!
Always cheer the pilgrims
Who walk each lonely mile!
Always say: “You are welcome!”
Offer gracious hospitality!
Serve the strangers who come your way,
whoever they may be.
Always wear your favorite garments
to raise your spirits in the storm.
Shelter with your beloved ones…
and in turn, they’ll keep you warm.
Never feel downtrodden!
Always stand upright!
You are a marvelous person…
You are glorious and you are right.
With a brave and melodious heart,
You won’t be down for long;
uplifted by the power of grace…
you will find where you belong.
Never cease from singing; never lose your hopes!
Make your song worthwhile!
Create a matchless melody; and bounce back off ropes.
Your song will never be out of style!
However long we knew her, we enjoyed moments of grace. Though she may have chosen to leave, she will never be far from this place. She will be missed, but more importantly, she will be cherished and remembered.
