Red globe floating

Outside my bedroom window

Just tonight

 Across a fieldby dan sanders

Not far away

I watched with  delight

Floated I swear it did

 As if to say

Come out and play

Floating floating far away

And then back the other way

Closer to the ground

 As it returned

 To where it had begun

At times into the air

it would jump

Soaring far away

Leaving the ground behind

And then stopping

Grabbed by some unknown force

Back down it came

In the dimming light

And then in a flicker

I saw

A giant paw

Then two

Jumping  paws out stretched

Mouth opened to snag

The floating thing

A dog

Leaping Into flight

in to the coming of the night

 Grabbing the orb

And then I heard

And I heard again

 The laughter

Of his mistress’s delight

As animal and human

Enjoyed the fading light

Of spring

I made it through college, started at Pace in New York, family seemed to think I needed a business degree. I didn't last long, two double periods of accounting a week and I was off to N.Y. U. To make a long story short ( too late for that) I graduated from UCLA and actually, my biggest kick out of that is just saying, especially here on the east coast UCLA, but I could care less, been in Boston since 1975, though I was coming for a year or so. A very good friend at the time, she said to me "Dan you'll never leave Boston" so dear Florida “Sun Spot Baby" you're down there, been in and out of radio, TV, acting and that's me in a nut shell.

Got something to say?
